Covid-19 residency
Virtual exhibition curated on my terrace during the
covid-19 quarantine
This is the first quarantine I am “invited” to be part of, a new concept of “self-monitored” art residency. As the challenge was to stay home, I had to figure out a space where I could work. The house in which I live is huge, as it hosts a bed and breakfast. The rooms of my brothers and I are on the last floor. There also is a terrace there, but it's too hot during summer and too cold during winter... So we never really used it. It also gets dirty pretty fast. Nevertheless, for this reason, it was the only space where I could be left alone to do my own things. So I cleaned it up and started living on it, getting out all of my works which has been taking dust for years. The terrace became my studio. After a few days, I decided to use the space to exhibit my works in a decent way so that I could show them through social media like Instagram and Facebook.
This way, I would have :
— Discovered the potential of a space
— Shown my work to a lot of different people
— Got a new project to add on my portfolio
The exhibition was published on my Instagram profile as a story, available for 24 hours.
